《基础英语》考试大纲
一、适用范围
本大纲适用于招收重庆交通大学外国语学院攻读英语各专业硕士学位研究生入学考试
二、考试性质
《基础英语》是为重庆交通大学外国语学院招收英语各专业硕士学位研究生而设置的具有选拔性质的统一入学考试科目，其目的是科学、公平、有效地测试考生对英语基础知识及英语语言的综合运用能力，评价的标准是高等学校英语专业本科毕业生所能达到的英语专业八级及八级以上水平，有利于重庆交通大学外国语学院在专业上择优选拔，以保证被录取者具有相应的英语水平，便于从事对应英语专业研究生阶段的学习和研究。
三、考试的基本要求
考生应掌握下列语言知识和技能

四、考试形式、内容与试卷结构
考试形式为笔试。考试时间为180分钟。满分为150分。
试题分为两大部分：英语知识运用和阅读理解
第一部分：英语知识运用
1. 词汇填空
本部分为选择题，共20题。要求在四个选项中选择最佳词汇补充完句子。本题测试考生的词汇量和词汇的恰当运用，尤其是近义词的辨析。

本部分为作答题，共10题。由一篇约250个单词的短文组成，短文中有10行标有题号。该10行内均含有一个语误。要求考生根据“增添”、“删除”或“改变其中的某一单词或短语”三种方法中的一种改正语误。本题测试考生运用语言知识的能力，要求能运用语法、词汇、修辞等语言知识识别所给短文内的语病并提出改正方法。

3. 完形填空
本部分采用选择题，共20题。在一篇250-300个单词、题材熟悉、难度中等的短文中留出20个空白。每个空白为一题，要求考生从所给的词库中选择最佳答案（提供的单词和短语多于空格）。本题测试考生的综合语言知识和技能，要求考生能在全面理解所给短文内容的基础上，选择一个最佳答案使短文意思和结构恢复完整。
